Evernote provides a means to capture just about anything you would want to save whether it is notes to yourself, something you saw or heard or even just things that you like. It works with nearly every mobile device or type of computer.
Its user friendly interface and simple processes make it easy to use with little or no use of the tutorial. To type a note, the user simply provides a title then types in the text of their note. Nothing else is necessary as Evernote automatically saves the note, processing and indexing it automatically so that you can easily find it with a search. Photos, screenshots and web pages that are saved follow the same process. To save any image just open the main window, click the "new note" button, type in a title and drag the image into the note body.
Tags can be added to items to make them easier to find or they can be put into notebooks. Photos can also be searched and the search feature works on both printed and handwritten notes inside the images.
Evernote contains a "Sync" feature that keeps it up to date on all your smartphones (iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, etc.), computers and the internet. Pushing the Sync button at the top of the interface updates all your information across all the media with which you use Evernote.
This software is handy for both business and personal use. Users can keep to-do lists handy, keep track of travel itinerary and expenses, take and keep photos of business meeting visuals and even leave a voice memo for themselves.
