Aside from some stability issues, and the fact that you have to really want to know what you are doing, there is nothing much bad to say about this product. You need to manually add the Lame Mp3 encoder, if you want to create mp3s, but if Ogg Vorbis is enough, then it comes ready to use.

High quality recording, audio editing, and other features, make this an essential application for the serious, and even not so serious audiophile.

This is an easy to use application. It works very well and can
do what most of the high end, very expensive audio recording
editing software offers. It is light in the digital effects
department. But you can always buy a digital effects
processor. Or maybe even find a freeware or open source
effects processor. Try it you will love it.

After using Adobe Audition 3, this editor feels very clunky.

*No assignable mouse bindings? Seriously?
*Forget easy zooming and scrolling. Not gonna happen here.
*Refuses to do anything while playing back audio (can't even
scroll or change the zoom level).
*Keyboard shortcut recognition is unreliable - sometimes
have to punch the key 4 or 5 times before it's recognized.
*Doesn't recognize the most recent ffdshow release.
*No fast-forward or rewind functions. (again: Seriously?)

The person above gave this software a bad review, simply
because he/she doesn't know how to use it. Read the help file.
It is far easier to use than Audition and can do just as much
for free! Why pirate software? Pirating is theft.

look it did what i wanted it do and it didnt take me a year to
learn.

i like how it is freeware, only the GUI looks a little dated
but i am not judging it by how it looks.
